Project School Backpack

Our project ‘school backpack’ is designed to enable a few children to go to school with a packed backpack and concentrate on learning.

The biggest problem for poor families every year is the cost of school, especially if there are several children, this is an enormous financial burden. Per child, per school year, there are fixed costs of about 50 Euro. This amount includes the school uniform, shoes, as well as the schoolbooks and school utensils such as notebooks and pens etc.

The new school year starts in Ivory Coast at the beginning of October. We want to make it possible for a few children from the age of 4 from extremely poor families to go to school. For this purpose, we are preparing backpacks, which will contain the necessary utensils such as exercise books and pens as well as the school books for the first class and a small toy surprise for the children. In addition, we take care of the registration at the schools as well as the school uniforms and the appropriate shoes.

Each packed backpack is then given to a child at the beginning of school

The cost of a backpack is made up as follows:

*Administration means transport costs for the registration at the schools, as well as copies of the children’s documents.
